premiere, Habbo will roll out a New Moon-themed virtual space within its 31

Summit Entertainment and Habbo (www.habbo.com), the largest virtual
world for teenagers, today announced an exclusive, first-time global partnership
that will extend the Twilight film franchise and brand experience to the online
virtual community of Habbo. The deal will provide Habbo licensing rights to
produce virtual furniture and accessories for the Twilight series of
films.
Beginning this fall, in conjunction with the release of The Twilight
Saga: New Moon (November 20, 2009), Habbo will launch a New Moon-themed virtual
space within Habbo's 31 communities worldwide. Habbo users will have the
opportunity to decorate their personal rooms with virtual goods from the
Twilight series of films.
"Habbo's understanding of the teen online audience means they can build
a unique virtual experience for their users and increase the scope and
interaction of the brand with our fans." said Jack Pan, executive vice president
of Marketing for Summit Entertainment. "This is the first time Summit has
partnered with a virtual world, so we wanted to be sure to work with a
company with a proven track record for providing exciting, engaging
activities."
MTV: And is that the first time we'll see your powers?
Rathbone: Actually, in "New Moon," we get a little glimpse. Inside the school.
MTV: How was it to film scenes where you were influencing the emotions of those around you?
Rathbone: It was fun. I just played it very naturally, like, if you have these special powers — like Edward has the ability to read minds — it's not like he's going to [get overly dramatic] and go, "You're hungry!" No, it's a natural thing, like the human ability to smell or to hear is a natural ability. To affect the mental state of anyone around you [I depicted Jasper as] keeping it all right in the eyes. Just thinking it and transferring it through the eyes, which are the windows to the soul — even to the soulless.
MTV: And will it be clear to the audience that this emotion-manipulation is going on?
Rathbone: In "New Moon," when we see it? It's pretty obvious.

"Last week, the creators of the first-ever documentary about Stephenie
Meyer’s hugely successful “Twilight” vampire phenomenon revealed the existence
of their movie and unveiled its poster. Now, MTV is the only place where you can
see the first footage released from the buzzed-about flick.
“One of the things that you’ll see in the film is how vampires
actually relate to Forks, and whether there’s some truth to the characters that
you’re familiar with,” explained director Jason Brown when he handed over the
film’s hot-off-the-presses first trailer. “This teaser gives you a glimpse at
that.”
Focusing on Forks, Washington — the real-life tiny logging town
where Meyer imagined a world of vampires, werewolves and love-struck humans —
“Twilight in Forks” visits Forks High School, explores the Quileute tribe, and
investigates the phenomenon of Meyer’s saga by talking to people whose lives may
have influenced the characters — or vice versa.
“You’ll see shots of the forest and some shots of signs about
vampires,” explained Brown, who used high-def cameras to capture the area’s
gorgeous rain-forest-like landscape. “You’ll meet a real-life Bella and a
real-life Alice that are in Forks.”

"Now Taylor lives with his family an hour outside Los Angeles, although the
distance does little to dissuade the paparazzi. "There are twelve cars that camp
outside my house," he marvels. "You can't ever really get used to it, because
it's not normal to have people snapping pictures of everything you do. You just
have to try not to let it affect you." Tabloid attention and spurious rumors are
the norm for the Twilight cast right now—Taylor and his costars are already hard
at work on the third film, Eclipse. And he seems quite capable of taking it all
in stride: Asked about his alleged early summer romance with Disney star Selena
Gomez, he says, quite unperturbedly, "She's a great girl." Asked whether Kristen
Stewart and Robert Pattinson are indeed entangled in a torrid love triangle, he
just laughs. "It's crazy," he admits, "but the fans help. They're a big part of
the motivation."
As if on cue, a pair of wide-eyed young sisters
approach his table, looking ecstatic. "We're all Team Jacob in our house," their
mother says. Taylor does have a point when he insists that people are reacting,
in part, to the character he plays—these two are each clutching one of author
Stephenie Meyer's dictionary-size tomes for him to autograph—but he's also being
too humble. The girls are definitely old enough to understand that Taylor is a
rising star, not a teen werewolf, and they still look pretty
starstruck.
