PW: So is it difficult then to play Jasper over the course of five films?Jackson: The thing I like about Jasper’s arc is that it’s very developed — you don’t know much about him in the first film. He’s always in pain but don’t know why, until the second film, when you realize that he’s the newest to the family and he’s basically dying of hunger. It’s very difficult to live that vampryic lifestyle. So he’s having trouble adjusting. In the third film, we get to see Jasper’s backstory – see who he used to be and why he’s having such a hard time transitioning.
PW: So “Eclipse” will flashback to his time in The Civil War?
Jackson: Yeah. We do a little segue/backstory in “Eclipse”,when he was turned during the Civil War. We get to see his more aggressive tendencies. When you’re first turned into a vampire, that’s when you’re at your most ravenous, most vicious – so you see Jasper go through that. It was a lot of fun to bring out the darker side of Jasper.

Ny intervju med Ashley :)
Q: For The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, did David Slade give you a syllabus or mission statement, the way that Chris Weitz did for The Twilight Saga: New Moon?
Ashley: No, he definitely didn’t give us that. But, each of the cast did sit down and have hour-long, sit-down conversations with him, probably two or three times, going over the whole script and us highlighting anything that we wanted to talk about. He went about it a different way, but he was also very open about forming some type of collaboration. The directors have their own vision. They don’t want to change our characters, but their vision may be a little different. Obviously, David Slade has a little darker spin on it than Chris Weitz may have had, so we had to find a way to mold them together.
Q: Have you read the new novella that Stephenie Meyer has coming out?
Ashley: Are you talking about the fifth book (Midnight Sun), that didn’t come out? I read some of it, probably during Twilight, before that whole thing happened and it got out.
Q: Not that book, but the novella that she’s coming out with, The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner, before the release of Eclipse?
Ashley: No, that I haven’t read.
Q: Coming off of Twilight and being concerned about being pigeonholed in this type of genre, is there another genre that you would really like to get the chance to explore next?
Ashley: Yeah. I have a very different story than most people, about how things happened for me. It happened very quickly, and so I’m getting all of this recognition and I really haven’t done a lot. There are so many things I haven’t done yet. I love film. I love everything about the adventure of it, and I want to do it all. I’m like a kid in a candy shop right now. I want to do everything I haven’t done yet. I think I’ve covered drama. I definitely want to do a comedy. I think a musical would be really fun. I’m itching to do an action film. You do a movie and, even if it’s not a comedy or it’s not an action film, you get a little taste of it, and then I want to do it full force. So, we’re trying to choose the right projects that let me do things and create a career, rather than sticking to one thing.

Säkert att Bill Condon står för regisserandet av Breaking Dawn?

Många har det spekulerats om men nu verkar det som att summit är i förhanling om att låta Bill Condon regissera Breaking Dawn :)

“Bill Condon has emerged as the number one choice to direct the final two installments of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, I’m told. Summit Entertainment hasn’t signed him, but I’m told that after several strong meetings, they are negotiating. Condon was among a list of A-list directors approved by Summit and Twilight author Stephenie Meyer.”

SPOILERS! FÖR DIG SOM INTE LÄST THE HOST!
I’m all alone.
It’s dark. I can’t remember where I am … or why I’m here. It’s wrong that I’m alone. Where is Wanda? I can’t see to look for her. I can’t remember how to call for her. It’s silent. I can’t feel her. I can’t feel our body.
Panic starts to set in as I wait for her voice. For her to say my name. To tell me where we are. To open my eyes so we can see. I need to hear her voice — my voice, in my softest tone, my gentlest inflection.
I wait, but there is nothing. Just me and the dark.
The panic gets worse as I try to remember. Did she shut me out again? That happened once, I know, but I don’t remember it. I don’t think it was like this, panicking in the dark. It was just nothing then.
And I don’t think Wanda would do that. Because we love each other.
I remember we said that.
Just before …something. I try to dredge up the memory.
We were saying we loved each other.… We were saying …
Good-bye.
