Bakgrund:

Kristen Stewart är uppvuxen i Los Angeles, och det var också där hon föddes i april 1990. Hon är ensam flicka bland sina syskon, och hon har en äldre bror och en adoptivbror. Stora delar av Kristens familj har gjort karriär bakom kameran, och man trodde att en liknande utveckling skulle bli aktuell för dottern, men så blev det ju inte. Efter en del småroller tog hennes karriär tog fart med rollen i Panic Room år 2002, och sedan dess har det gått spikrakt uppåt för henne med fler och fler roller.
